Rejuvenated on July 1, 2011, the Institute for China and Global Development (ICGD) continues its aims to advance the understanding of China’s interaction with the global economy through developing multi-disciplinary innovative research and training programs.

China's recent economic development has made significant leaps; and demand for expertise and training in this area has correspondingly intensified.  Currently, there are five core programs under the Institute which are committed to investigate into greater details the key areas of the Chinese economy and how it interacts with the rest of the world.  Together, they provide a dynamic picture for understanding China's economic formation and prospect.

The Institute adopts an open architecture for nurturing new ideas and research areas over time.
